It still baffles me to see that most part of our country is enundated with filths, and people just seem to accept this as a way of life. Beggers loitering the streets, people shitting on the streets as if the country is one big, giant open and public toilet. Don't we all have sences of smell, or feelings that just want to make you throw up at the sight of these filths, thrashes and excretes on our streets. I mean, this is the year 2010, and no one should be living and eating among those things
Why don't they get these beggers off our streets and put them in some kind of institutions away from the general public. Do we like seeing these things on daily basis? That is depressing, if you ask me. We deserve better!. Those idiots that are holding public offices!! Why can't they do something about these? Don't we have departments and ministries that are supposed to care for these things?. We live in extremely clean environments in other peoples' countries, while ashamed to show off ours to our loved ones and friends. The first thing that hits your eyes and noses, the minute you step off that plane and outside Muritala Mohammed Airport, are the unmistaking sights and smells of those filthy beggers, all on your face as well as the hips of garbage all around the airport that stretches throughout the country. Sometimes, it makes me wonder! are we all destined to share our lives with garbage and excretes, or that is just something that we've all just come to get use to. It will be quite simple for a person like me, to simply ignore this, but i have families over there, and no matter how long it takes for me to avoid seeing those things, i would eventually get my chance of either stepping on some of those shits or smelling the mountains of garbage on the damned streets. Someone once told me that the way we Nigerians express our freedom, is by shitting on the streets. I think that's just disgusting! People express their freedom and independence by taking pride of their communities, and making it a better place to live for everyone and for the next generations to come. Not by contaminating and polluting the environment and making the general population sick. I think anyone that subscribe to that ideology, is just simply ignorant and stupid. I wonder how people can eat over there, without throwing right back up.
This is just another subject of disappointment, along with living in total darkness and lack of clean water, that plagues the country on daily basis. What did we all do to deserve such hash life. When they say, there is hell on earth, Nigeria provides solid proof of that.

I CANNOT HAVE A GREAT WEEK WITHOUT HAVING A GREAT COUNTRY!!!
Hello,
I want to have more than a great week! I want to wake up in the morning and feel good that i have a country, and without feeling ashamed to talk about it. I have visited many countries, both large and some even as small as one of our local governments.but never have i yet seen a country that goes to sleep and wakes up every single morning without that very basic necessities of life........ELECTRICITY AND CLEAN WATER!!!!!. I have seen even the smallest of countries, without independent, but still enjoys these amenities without preconditions. With all the resources, both natural and artificial, that exists in Nigeria today and from time immemorial, what makes it so difficult for those incompetent leaders, using just a fraction of all the funds that were been looted from the country, to provide these very basic amenities to their people which includes ME!!! .
Are we, as citizens, so blind and dumbfounded, that we cannot draw a thick line in the sand that says, "enough is just simply enough" to these selfish and hopeless bunch of individuals, and throw them not just out of offices but out of our lifes as well. We need to start standing up for our selves and begin to take back our country. I love my country!, I love the fact that i know that i have a country, but it pains my soul just to think that, this same country that i love so much is just simply been destroyed by a bunch of ignorant and self-centered individuals. We need to starttaking pride in our communities and our nation as a whole. We all, as Nigerians need to recognize ourselves as extremely lucky people, for having such resilient and die-hardened country. But we have to keep in mind that this resiliency may not last forever. Only a hand full of countries in this planet, can resist the kind of punishments and abuses that has been dealth out to a country like Nigeria by these bunch of self-centered individuals with no single string of conscience in their
